Professional Tax Maven*

How Should I Start?

So do I write something in the third person, which makes it sound fake? Or write it in the first person, which might sound vain?  I choose to write in the first person because nothing about me is fake.

Over 30 Years of Experience

I am an experienced tax maven* — highly-regarded both by colleagues and peers and by clients alike. For several years I served as Chief Financial Officer for a $100 million multi-national company which was successfully sold to a multi billion dollar public company, and have taken leadership roles in professional accounting organizations.

Attorneys, business owners, and high net worth individuals rely on me as their dedicated tax advisor. They turn to me not only when taxes need to be filed, but also when they are faced with important financial decisions. Clients stay with me because they trust me and my advice. They appreciate the fact that I care about their businesses and them as if they are family.

My professional goal is helping clients minimize their tax liability while enabling them to achieve their personal and business goals. I have a problem-solving attitude and approach that often leads to alternative solutions. These minimize tax expense while protecting clients from underpayment penalties and helping them to manage their cash flow. My clients have peace of mind: They pay the right amount of taxes – no more, no less!

* According to Wikipedia, a maven is a trusted expert in a particular field, who seeks to pass timely and relevant knowledge on to others in the respective field.

Life Outside of the Office

Throughout my career, I have always been passionate about teaching young professionals, implementing IT systems, and writing marketing materials. Add a love for song writing and making people laugh and you will understand my joyful, robust and creative outlook on life. Maybe you have even sensed that with this story of who I am.

Life outside the office is dedicated to my family, starting with my best friend (and wife of over 40 years), Linda. We have a daughter, Shana, who resides in Massachusetts with our two granddaughters, and a son, Daniel, who — when last we played “Where in the World is Daniel” — was teaching biology in Thailand.

I love traveling and being with my family and friends…which is my idea of a perfect vacation. (When we talk, I’d love to hear about where you’ve been and your favorite vacation places!
